The “Heartbleed Bug,” a serious flaw with widespread effects across the Web, was disclosed to the Internet on April 7, 2014. Heartbleed could allow an attacker to eavesdrop on communication typically protected with encryption. For Pike13 businesses, this communication includes web traffic between our servers and clients, including web browsers and iOS applications. What Pike13 is doing
We took immediate action to eliminate this severe security vulnerability. We have no reason to believe that it was exploited against Pike13 data and are confident that Pike13 data is no longer susceptible to Heartbleed.
We’re taking additional steps as a precaution. All Pike13 users—whether on the desktop, Staff App, or Client Kiosk—will be signed out tonight at 9 PM PST. If you’re signed in during the reset, you’ll be redirected to the sign-in page. You can sign in to Pike13 within minutes or the next time you need to.
What you need to do
While we have no reason to believe that passwords or any other data was leaked, we encourage owners, staff, and clients to change their Pike13 password. Resetting your password is especially important if you use the same password on multiple web sites. This is simply the safest thing to do for your Pike13 account.
