The Hidden Revenue Stream: How Gift Cards and Add-Ons Boost Your Bottom Line
The Overlooked Opportunity Most studio owners spend their energy filling classes and booking appointments. That’s the core revenue, so it makes...
Recently, we did our first quarterly Hack Day. It’s a new tradition—giving our development team the time to step away from daily tasks and innovate. They worked on whatever they wanted and producedhacks of all kinds. Some focused on developer efficiency. Others focused on performance to make our product load times faster. Many worked on customer experience improvements.
While this time our hacking was limited to our development team, we know the activity is beneficial to all. We’re looking forward to expanding this new tradition. Your business would benefit from a Hack Day too. There are 3 reasons any business benefits from having their own Hack Day:
Time to innovate. This is the time to take risks and try something brand new. Some hacks will lead to product improvements or new features.
Time for fun. The team can work on whatever they want. There’s also some beer and pizza in it for them.
Time for collaboration. Teams can mix it up and work with folks they don’t usually work with.
We often associate ‘hacking’ to developers and engineers—this is not so! Every small business — whether you sell a service or a product — has the opportunity to harness the creativity of employees and make positive changes. Try out a hack day, and enjoy the fun and innovation that is sure to ensue.
Oh, and Stay tuned. You’ll see Some of our December hacks in the product soon.
