Signing clients up? Make the most of it!

Signing clients up? Make the most of it!

Signing up new clients takes a balancing act. You don’t want to scare them away with giant signup forms. But you need the info that will protect your business and give you the tools to keep your clients. Each business needs different information to help them best serve theirclients. Info like belt level, past injuries, and “How did you hear about us?” That’s why we let you customize your signup form to collect exactly what you need.

Here are a few tips for manipulating those custom fields to make client signup smooth for your clients and useful for you.

TIP Choose to make certain custom fields available so that when you create online documents you can pull this information into waivers and documents for clients to sign over.

For example, you might use this for medical information that you need a client to initial.

TIP Set a custom field as your secondary client information to have that field displayed prominently in your client list.

For example, some martial arts studios show clients’ belt color while some dog trainers list their clients’ doggy names.

TIP Get fancy. Rather than asking five yes or no questions, create a multiple choice question where clients can mark multiple options. Fewer questions take less time for your clients to fill out the signup form.

For example, make it easy for your clients to identify where they have injuries like this:
