  1. Name? Travis Benjamin Isaacs.

  1. Where do you live? Grapevine, TX

  1. Where’s your hometown? Laurel, IN. It’s situated between corn and the Whitewater River.

  1. What’s your favorite app (other than Pike13)? Pandora and Spotify are my two most used apps. I have adventurous tastes in music, and I loveto find new artists.

  1. How did you come to work at Pike13? I started Pike13 along with our original co-founders. Past work experience, friendship, opportunity, and serendipity brought us together to start Pike13.

  1. What do you do for Pike13? Professional typist. Just kidding. I work on the product team and help research problems, prototype experiences, and build software.

  1. If you weren't working at Pike13, what would you do? I love hard work and being busy, just like my dad. If I weren’t building software at Pike13, I’d find something else that is just as hard. Mechanic, fabricator, woodworker, etc.

  1. What’s the favorite place you’ve lived? Bloomington, IN where my wife and I went to college. We moved away years ago, and it still feels like home when we go back.

  1. If we were to meet you at a dinner party, what question should we not ask you? (why??) Don’t ask me to dance. Seriously, it will get ugly.

  1. Tell us something we don’t know. I had no interest in going to college after high school. My wife (girlfriend at the time) pestered me to apply.

  1. What is one misconception people have about you? I’m good at basketball. I made that up. Nobody would ever guess that about me.

  1. What time did you get up this morning? 5:10 am. Gym at 6am.

  1. Diamonds or pearls? Purple Rain

  1. Coolest thing you've ever been for Halloween? When I was 4 or 5 I wanted to be the Incredible Hulk. My mom and grandmother painted me green using women’s cosmetic foundation that had been tinted green with food coloring. I remember my friends loving my costume, followed by hours of my grandmother scrubbing the green off of me.

  1. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Transformers: Age of Extension. I know. I’m terrible.

  1. What is your favorite T.V. show? I was late to the party, but Game of Thrones.

  1. What do you usually have for breakfast? Bacon, eggs, and coffee.

  1. Favorite cuisine? Barbecue and tacos are a food group for me.

  1. Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best? Leaving home and moving to Texas. I can’t imagine spending the last decade anywhere else.

  1. Where’s Waldo? Who put that question in here? Was it you, Nicki? Laura?

  1. How do you take your coffee/tea? Heavy cream, no sugar.

  1. What interest haven’t you pursued, but have always wanted to and what draws you to it? Skiing/snowboarding. I grew up in rural Indiana. We don’t ski there.

  1. What was your most memorable birthday? My 30th. I found the Paleo diet, started exercising, and changed my life.

  2. Proudest moment? The first time we got the whole Pike13 team together in Seattle.

  1. When was the last time you had an amazing meal? Every meal that I eat with Andrew Coldham. Seriously, if Andrew invites you to eat, you should go.

  1. What was the first thing you bought with your own money? A 1986 Honda Accord Coupe when I was 16 or 17.

  1. When was the last time you were nervous? My daughter’s first day of kindergarten.

  1. What story does your family always tell about you? I was really homesick my first week away at college. I called my parents several times a day and made them visit me after the first week of class.

  1. At what age did you become an adult? When I turned 30. You can still be referred to as “young” in your 20s. Not so with 30.

  1. Goal you have for yourself? Being a good dad and husband are really important to me.

  1. What is your hobby? CrossFit, coffee, and photography.

  1. What did you want to be when you were little? My dad.

  1. Best compliment you have received? During one of my wife’s work parties, each employee had to describe their spouse/significant other in one word. When it was her turn, she looked at me, squeezed my hand, and said “potential.” I’ll never forget it.

  1. What is the last book you read? I’ve stalled out reading the Game of Thrones series. I’ll finish it, promise.

  1. What is your favorite drink? Whiskey on the rocks

  1. What always makes you laugh? This kid.

  1. If you had to move to another country, where would you move? My wife and I went to London a few years ago and fell in love with it. I loved how proper everything was and how much history was still alive there.

  1. What’s your favorite season? Texas has summer and not summer. So I’m going to go with not summer.

  1. When you retire, would you choose the beach, mountains or somewhere else? Mountains.

  1. It is your last meal and you can order anything you want, what do you eat (appetizer, main course, dessert)? Brisket tacos. Remember my two favorite foods?
